This October, the ZACC will celebrate the 10th Annual Missoula Monster Project, marking 10 years of monster magic that begins in kindergarten classrooms.
The Missoula Monster Project raises funds to support arts education in Missoula County Public Schools and ZACC classrooms! Monsters donated by adult artists will be sold and the proceeds will be split with the MCPS Fine Arts Department to help ensure that ALL Missoula children have access to quality arts education.
This year's participating schools are Hawthorne, Lewis & Clark, & Rattlesnake Elementary.
Every year, the Zootown Arts Community Center works with the Missoula County Public Schools Fine Arts Department to produce the Missoula Monster Project, one of Missoula's most beloved annual community art events. Kindergartners use their incredible imaginations to draw monsters, and adult artists recreate these monsters in their medium. The resulting monster artworks are displayed side-by-side at the ZACC in the fall and the exhibit celebrated with a family-friendly monster-themed event, including live music and monster cake!
A monster-size thank you to these amazing community partners:
