Philip Schaefer has lived in Missoula since 2012, where he earned his MFA in creative writing from the University of Montana. His poetry collection Bad Summon was published by the University of Utah in 2017, and he leads community-based poetry workshops from time to time. He also opened & runs The Camino, a regionally focused Mexican restaurant in the heart of downtown Missoula. When not writing, teaching, or restaurant-ing, he's often found on the mountains & in the rivers of Montana with his wife Natalie & their two pups, Cola & Bubbles. Schaefer is a big Arsenal fan.
