Sketching Missoula

Fridays, September 8 to October 6, 5:30-7:30 PM, Taught by Jason C. Poole
Downtown Missoula (Various Locations)

Fridays | 5 weeks | September 8 to October 6 | 5:30-7:30 PM | $125 | Taught by Jason C. Poole

Sketch the flavors of Missoula in the area right around the Zootown Arts Community Center. This historical locality offers much to capture the eyes of sketch artists of all experience levels. Participating artists will meet their instructor at the ZACC or another established location at 5:30PM. We will walk to a different site each night and sketch for about 2 hours. The class will include some instruction and critique to help advance sketching enjoyment and skill.

The only materials needed are a sketch book no larger than 11x17 a small straight edge and ball point pens or pencils. It is always a good idea to bring a bottle of drinking water to keep hydrated.

Jason C. Poole is a Paleontological Illustrator who has published in several Journals including “Science”. His work can be seen in National Geographic Magazine, National Geographic World, as well as at The Wyoming Dinosaur Center, The Indianapolis Children’s Museum and the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. Jason has published a coloring book on dinosaurs titled “Dynasty of Dinosaurs” and most recently illustrated a young audiences role playing game called “Epyllion a Dragon Epic”, and the “Encyclopedia Draconica” by Magpie Games.
