Holiday Wreath Making
Wednesday | December 7 | ZACC PYOP Studio | 6-8 PM | $45
Learn how to make an evergreen wreath with found natural specimens! Before this class, take a hike or head to your yard with a canvas bag, garden shears, and an eye for the beauty in your surroundings. Collect items like rose hips, fallen pine branches (bonus if pine cones are still attached), pine cones, and seed pods on the stem. We'll provide fresh pine, spruce, and fir boughs. The instructor will be drying citrus slices in the oven prior to the workshop, and will bring the results to share. Thinly sliced citrus dries easily on a cookie sheet in 2 to 2 ½ hours in a 200 degree (Farenheit) oven, and how-tos abound online – if you want to make your own in advance as well. In addition to the fresh evergreen boughs, a wreath round and floral wire are included in the cost of the class.
