Spend Your Summer at the ZACC!
Seeking Art and Rock Camp Assistant Instructors through the AmeriCorps Vista Summer Associate Program!
A community service oriented position designed to support the ZACC’s arts-based summer programming for Missoula youth, the Summer Associates who join the ZACC for 11 weeks of summer camps this year will assist Camp Instructors in the classroom and music studio by helping to deliver art and music lessons. ZACC Art Camps encompass engaging themes like recycled material murals and a week creating art with glitter. ZACC Music Camps help kids of all experience levels to form a band, write a song, and play together over five full camp days before a live performance on the final afternoon. The visual arts and rock camp positions are separate but may overlap. Both areas are full-time, 40-hour-a-week community service positions from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. The position runs from June 3rd to August 12th. Experience working with kids and in the arts and/or music is encouraged.
While the Summer Associate will be working on-site at the ZACC, the position is funded through AmeriCorps and comes with the following benefits:
-
A living stipend of $2,823.00
-
An AmeriCorps Education Award of $1,459.26 to repay qualified student loans or to pay current educational expenses at eligible institutions of higher education training programs.
-
In addition, 13 Montana colleges will match this award up to $1000!
-
The AmeriCorps Summer Vista program is an excellent way to show future employers a drive for community wellness, compassion, and work ethic.
