in the Conference Room

Taught by Anne Harris with the Montana Family Center
Friday, June 14 // 5:30 to 7:30 PM // ZACC Conference Room // Free & Open to All

Allies Across the Universe provides information and discussions to help friends, family, co-workers, clergy, teachers, who interact with the Queer and/or Transgender community to develop better skills for communicating with and supporting their trans or queer relations.

When someone "comes out," to you what's the most supportive way to respond? What does gender fluid mean? What is the best way to support my gay son or lesbian daughter? There are so many new terms for sexual and gender identities, what do I do when someone tells me they identify as "non-binary trans-masc,"and I don't know what that means? What the heck is "cis," privilege? Our workshop is an experience for learning how to navigate this ever changing world of sexual and gender identities. Capacity is 15 people. Training is 2 hours.
