The ZACC is so excited to present 'Tiny Worlds’, works by Thunder G. West, opening in the Youth Gallery on First Friday, February 2, from 5-8 PM, and exhibiting throughout the month of February. Works are available for purchase, and the artist will be present at the opening reception.

ABOUT THE ART
I like making small, magical worlds that give you a sense of how small things really get. Nature inspires me to make things that are natural, but then I modify them to make cooler things.

In Tiny Worlds, I create things that really inspire me: a small Ocean World that has a bunch of cool sea creatures, a Mushroom World that has a bunch of little mushroom houses and frog people, and a Bug World that has a frog's shop, a bunch of little bugs, and places where they can hide. People who view my art can take pieces home with them, whichever they desire, and I hope it brings joy into their households.

ps. Turtles are my favorite animal. If you take home any piece that involves a turtle, I will donate a portion of the profits to a conservancy for sea turtles.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Thunder G. West has been making art for nearly a decade. He has been taking classes at the ZACC for many years, doing lots of clay, sewing, and drawing. His teacher Nikki has especially helped him grow his skills and confidence. He constantly does art at home and loves to do crafts with his friends.
