ABOUT THE ART
“As a mixed media artist i tend to think of my work from many different angles. When I start with a loose sketch I need to decide which direction I'm going to take the piece. Is it going to be a detail orientated stipple drawing where I only allow myself to use black ink? Or is it going to be a multilayer illustration ready for screen printing?

I work primarily with black ink. I really enjoy the contrast between bold smooth linework and intricate striped dots to create tones. From across the room it appears to be a variety of grey tones, but once you get close you see the hundreds of dots giving the drawing its form.”

ABOUT THE ARTIST
