FREE GOLDEN Acrylics Hands-on Demo: Monoprinting with Slow-drying OPEN Acrylics

Saturday, October 14, 10 AM-12 PM
ZACC Print Shop

Saturday | October 14 | 10 AM-12 PM | ZACC Print Shop | FREE

Join GOLDEN Working Artist, Nancy Seiler, as she demonstrates two different ways to create monoprints using gel plates and GOLDEN OPEN Acrylics (slow-drying acrylics that clean up with water). Version one utilizes a brayer, and any type of flat object that creates a barrier between the plate and the paper (stencils, leaves, mesh). Version two is painting directly on the gelatin plate. You’ll see how easy it is to create colorful, unique prints. Nancy will also discuss and show examples of color mixing and pigment properties—you will see color in new ways. After the demos, you will have time to make your own monoprints. No experience necessary.

Please register for this course using the online form even though it is free--we need a good idea of how many folks are coming.
