Leaders in the Indigenous art community, in partnership with the ZACC and the Jeanette Rankin Peace Center, are seeking artwork to be shown in the ZACC Main Gallery, and artists willing to contribute artwork to a silent auction show held in the ZACC's Blackfoot Communications Gallery – the proceeds of which will go to benefit non-profits like The Snowbird Fund which directly supports community searches for missing Indigenous people in Montana.

The gallery openings will take place on the second Friday in September (September 8) and will coincide with an Indigenous Art Market and a Youth Gallery opening highlighting young Indigenous artists. Artwork will be up in the galleries from Friday, September 8 through Monday, October 2.

Art Call for ZACC Main Gallery Show
(Opportunity only for Indigenous artists)
The ZACC Main Gallery will be showing works from Indigenous artists that relate to / answer the question "How do you celebrate the relationships in your life, and how do you continue to honor those relationships positively, even if the person is no longer physically available to you?"
We are accepting artwork of every medium and from artists of every skill level. Every Indigenous artist is welcome to participate.
100% of the proceeds from this show go back to the artist.

Art Call for Live Auction
(Open to all artists)
The ZACC Blackfoot Communications Gallery will display works from the silent auction. Artwork does not need to fit the theme and can be any artistic medium. By submitting work to this show you are choosing to donate 100% of the proceeds to The Snowbird Fund, and other similar non-profits which directly support community searches for missing Indigenous people.
If your artwork however is not sold in the auction you must pick it up at the ZACC within 2 weeks of the show coming down.

Deadline to apply: August 10, 2023
Art Drop Off: August 10 though August 27
Gallery Opening: Second Friday, September 8
If you have questions or would like assistance submitting to the art call please don't hesitate to reach out to the ZACC's Gallery Manager Delaney Wascherol at delaney@zootownarts.org, or by calling the ZACC at (406)549-7555.
