"In This Light" will feature selected works from an on-going student photography project entitled Our Community Record Two Eagle River School In January 2002, in association with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, "Our Community Record - Two Eagle River School" began. This project is a collaboration between photographer David J. Spear and Two Eagle River School. Through storytelling and photographic studies, "Our Community Record", seeks to teach students how to explore and document their community, culture and history. This learning process broadens student interest in their surroundings, builds self-esteem, encourages creative expression, and prepares them for higher education. Over fiften years of photographs by students are currently being archived. In 2006 the non-profit organization, "A VOICE" - Art Vision & Outreach In Community Education was founded. A VOICE sponsors this and other projects in the community through grants and private support.
