The ZACC loves getting our young artists involved and active in the arts at an early age. For families who need assistance with the costs for enrolling their youth know that we happily offer scholarships. Be familiar with our cancellation policies.

Monday, April 3, 2017 - 4:00pm

In this camp, girls and boys will build self esteem through music exploration. Regardless of musical experience, campers will receive instrument instruction, form a band, write an original song, and perform at Family Friendly Friday at the Top Hat Lounge. Boys and girls will also learn about music history, attend song-writing clinics, talk about stage presence, create flyers for their upcoming show, design a band logo and screen T-shirts, and more.

Tuesday, April 18, 2017 - 3:15pm

This unit will be a fun opportunity to share our favorite art making methods with each other and the Missoula community.  Students will teach students many techniques and participate in a pen-pal art collaboration with another student in the valley. We will display our work at the end of the year YAAP Exhibition in the ZACC Gallery!

Students will build, paint, collage and draw masterpieces of life-size proportions.  We will work together to build ecosystems, imaginary characters and their necessary accoutrements that will be displayed in the end of the year YAAP Exhibition in the ZACC Gallery!

In this camp, boys & girls will build self-esteem together through music exploration. Regardless of musical experience, campers will receive instrument instruction, form a band, write an original song, and perform at Family Friendly Friday on June 16th at the Top Hat Lounge. 

All supplies and musical equipment provided.

Monday, June 19, 2017 - 9:00am

This class will investigate the craft of Bookmaking with extra pizazz! We will explore the importance of books in a historical context, as well as a vehicle for self-expression, and memory keeping. We will be doing a lot of tying, sewing, hole-punching, drawing, pasting, collecting, folding, cutting, and tearing. We will make a folded paper Accordion Book, A GIANT Cardboard Scrapbook, Binder Ring Book, and  a Pocket-sized Leather journal.

Monday, June 19, 2017 - 1:00pm

Explore all of the colorful and sculptural materials of nature as we saunter through Greenough Park to create our own nature drawings, sculptures, boats and more! Each day of camp will be inspired by the breathtaking work of Andy Goldsworthy as campers create and then learn to photograph their impermanent masterpieces! Campers will need waterproof shoes as we will probably be dipping our toes in shallow water to collect brilliant treasures!

Learn the amazing art of oil painting! Each day students will create a landscape painting using Bob Ross videos and by painting, “Plein Air”, (outdoors).
